THE EVENT:
Pack style racing on a measured oval track on the ice rink. You may wear whatever skates you have... hockey, figure or speedskates. Everyone skates in three races at different distances by age and gender. Points are awarded for where you finish in each race. Overall winners are determined by your three race combined total points.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
You must wear a helmet (hockey or bike). You must wear some kind of gloves. No shorts or short sleeve shirts. We recommend you wear shin pads, knee pads and throat protector.
RULES:
Six to eight skaters on he start line. You may not touch another skater to make a pass. You may not intentionally block a passing skater by moving to your side. Winner of race is determined by the first skate blade crossing the finish line and not body lean! Additional rules will be explained on the ice by the chief referee.
TIME:
Registration 4-5 PM Racing at 5 PM sharp and is over at 7 PM

AGE DIVISIONS:
5 & under, 6-10 years old, 11-15, 16-17
SCORING SYSTEM:
Overall winner of each division is determined by how you finished in your three race distances and not just one distance! First place in each race receives 5 points, second receives 3 points, third receives 1 point. Please note: ***IN THE EVENT OF A TIE IN POINTS, THE TIEBREAKER RACE IS WHOEVER DID BEST IN THE THIRD RACE!
AWARDS:
Medals to first three places in each age division.
ENTRY FEE:
$15 per skater due at check in time! Includes free T-shirt IF registered and paid in advance - by Feb. 10th.

6-10 YEARS OLD... 1 LAP, 2 LAPS, 3 LAPS
11-15 YEARS OLD... 2 LAPS, 3 LAPS, 4 LAPS

2 LAPS, 4 LAPS, 6 LAPS
