THE EVENT:
West Michigan Youth Wintersportsfest - 2010 Luge Championships
TIME:
Friday, Feb. 12, is instruction and practice runs from 5:30 - 8:30 pm.
Sunday, Feb. 14, is late registration, instruction and practice runs from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Competition begins at 2:30 PM.
Awards ceremony after meet is finished.
LOCATION:
Muskegon Sports Complex at Muskegon State Park
462 Scenic Dr. Muskegon, MI 49445
EQUIPMENT:
Free use of sled, helmet and elbow pads. You must wear a pair of gloves! Wear warm clothing and older jacket as brushing against the walls will "burn" a hole in a new jacket.
FORMAT:
Two timed runs down the track from the bridge start (public start point) with both runs being added together to determine final placement!
AGE DIVISIONS:
Youth A: 15-18, Youth B: 13-14, Youth C: 11-12, Youth D: 10 & under
AWARDS:
Top three finishers in each division with separate
male and female awards
ENTRY FEE:
$15 includes free practice session and instruction on
Friday, with free t-shirt if registered prior to Feb. 6!
No free t-shirt after Feb. 6.
A limited number of extra t-shirts will be available day of race
for an additional $5.
STATE PARK ENTRY FEE:
This is a state park and a motor vehicle permit is required.
Cost of annual is $24 or day pass is $6
